About the Job
Atlantic Health & Rehabilitation Center a 110-bed facility in Vero Beach is looking for an ADON to assist the Director of Nursing in the overall managment of the Department of Nursing.

The candidate must:
1. Assist in ensuring quality nursing call to all patients/residents. Supports and practices the philosophy, nursing objectives and standards of the DON.
2. Ensures that the nursing department is adquately staffed to provide quality care to patients/residents.
3. Participates in in-service/staff development programs that contribute to meeting nursing objectives and standards, and comply with all state and federal regulations.
4. Provides clinical expertise to facilitate and support the nursing process in patient/resident interventions.
5. Assists in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients, residents, employees and visitors.
6. Acts as Director of Nursing in the absence of same as described in the DON position description if designated by DON.
7. Excercises administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel as directed by the DON.
8. Assist with audits and QAPI projects as needed as a member of the facility QAPI committee.
9. Ensures that regular in-services are scheduled and held according to state/federal requirements.
10. Ensures that competencies are completed for all new nurses according to established schedule within 30 days of hire.
11. Participates in new employee orientation to all new staff.
12. Provides initial and on-going EMR training to all nursing staff.


Bachelor of Science degree in nursing preferred.
Three to five years experience preferred.
RN license in the state
